The purpose of the competition is to encourage the creation of musical works inspired by folk or national traditions, while upholding the high standards of musical composition sustained by Guastavino.

IMPORTANT: after submitting the application, you will receive from Sonus an email with a Dropbox link to submit your materials. Expected materials include:

• Score of your piece

• Individual parts if the piece is for piano duo

• A RECORDING of the piece (computer renditions are acceptable)
